In a Spanish guitar kind of mood. Roberto Alagna’s rendition of this song on his Latino CD is fabulous. The whole CD is great (although very hard to come by in America). Needless to say I am a huge Alagna fan (not hardheadedly so, mind you). His Paolo in Francesca da Rimini, for example, not my favorite. I have the DVD of Domingo and Scotto and it is vastly superior. So much more passion. Alagna and Vassileva were dead in comparison.
Anyways, I’m thrilled for the encore of Le Comte Ory tomorrow! Should be fantastic.
In terms of running, I’ve been cramping up alot. In my lungs particularly…or around them rather… REGARDLESS, it makes it very difficult to take deep breaths after a certain point without feeling an exceptionally unpleasent stabbing feeling in my chest. The after effects seem to be soreness in what I can only describe as my sternum (I should really take an anatomy class or something).
Health should not be this difficult.
I will leave some thoughts on the Rossini and anything else I see this week.
